Review: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

Hi lovlies! I'm so sorry for being MIA the past month, but I'm back! A few weeks ago I went to the Priceline 40% off ALL cosmetics sale and decided to finally purchase the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. The sale was held for 2 days, and I unfortunately could only make it on the second day - this obviously meant that quite a lot of products were sold out. Even so, I still managed to buy 3 balm stains, and 2 balm stains from the Face of Australia, to see if it's a good enough dupe for the Revlon one's - purely for pricing reasons.

The three Revlon Balm Stains I bought were in the shades 025 (Sweetheart), 055 (Adore) and 030 (Smitten). I absolutely love these balm stains! They are extremely moisturising, making the application really smooth, and they last for quite a while! They are also super pigmented - Smitten was a deep pink/plum colour, Sweetheart was a more bright pink, and Adore was a lovely deep red. They also had this strange minty/medicinal smell to them, but the smell doesn't linger.

I also decided to try the Face of Australia lip crayons, to see if they're a good enough dupe for the Revlon ones, for those who want a more inexpensive option. I bought the shades Cupcake (a light pink colour) and Macaron (darker red/pink colour). It does say that they are sheer gloss crayons, so of course they aren't as pigmented as the Revlon ones. They are also smooth to apply, and moisturising, and also have a sweet scent to them, which is slightly more pleasant than the Revlon ones. However they definitely do not last long on your lips, one wipe and everything came off straight away! I also dislike the lids on these lip crayons, they do not fit what so ever! It's quite frustrating! When you put the lids back on you can feel that they're loose and will probably come right off in your make up bag.

Overall, I love the Revlon balm stains, just wish they weren't as pricy as they are, and the Face of Australia lip crayons are an okay lip product in general. I personally would just buy the Revlon one's every time they're on sale, even though the Face of Australia lip crayons are significantly more inexpensive.

Next time I'm going to try and purchase the matte lip balms by Revlon (unfortunately by the time I arrived at Priceline, all the matte ones were gone!)

I hope you guys enjoyed this review (apologies for such a lengthy post!), let me know what you think of them! and any recommendation for colours. I'll see you all in my next post, take care!
