Harbour Bridge walk and The Rocks

The other day, my two friends and I decided to visit the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We currently have a lot of free time on our hands and so we thought we should one day just take a casual stroll on the bridge for some light exercise and some fresh air.

Afterwards we wondered around the markets at The Rocks, and then decided to go to Pancakes on the Rocks for dinner!

DIY: Coffee scrub

Since it's winter here in Australia I've really concentrated on my skin and keeping it hydrated and moisturised, so I decided to try out a coffee scrub!

Food Adventures: Scones, Tea and chocolates

Hello lovelies! today's post is just going to be a short one on my random trip around the city!

The first place I visited was the David Jones Food Hall. I'd heard a lot about the Food Hall but had never been in there until a few days ago. It was amazing and had a variety of different foods, ranging from chocolates and lollies to grill bars and sushi train. The first thing I went for was the Chocolate covered Strawberry with coconut. I know what you're thinking, it's such a boring choice considering my options, but the heart wants what the heart wants. It was 3 dollars, not sure if it was worth it, but nonetheless it was still a good strawberry - not too small in size and super juicy, balancing out the rich chocolate.

My friend decided to buy a chocolate strawberry too, and also a coconut mousse from Misschu. The coconut mousse was adorably wrapped in some banana leaf and placed in a mini takeaway box (you get 2 of them in the box). Under the layer of mousse was also some coconut jelly with some coconut pieces. My friend said it was really authentic, she loved it!

Next thing I really wanted to try was this chocolate penguin. I was sold from the moment I saw it, it was so cute. It was made from dark and white chocolate with a mango filling. This one was definitely more rich compared to the strawberry, I needed a few sips of water afterwards, but it was still really good, I loved the mango filling - I think it was either a ganache or a mousse.

Next place we ventured off to was the Tea Salon, which is situated within Westfield Sydney. It wasn't an actual store, more like a space - but a really beautifully decorated space. I felt super classy as soon as I stepped into its boundaries. I ordered a White chocolate and cranberry scone and the China Sencha tea.

That scone was so lovely and moist, with the right amount of white chocolate and cranberries, and it came with a side of strawberry jam and cream. The tea was also amazing and really helped cleanse my palette afterwards. But what I really fell in love with was the tea pot and matching tea cup they gave me for my tea!

My friend ordered the Haigh's Chocolate Scone, which came with a side of melted chocolate and cream, and a Skim Latte.

Hope you guys enjoyed this short post, and I'll see you in my next one, take care!

Blush Cosmetics Haul

I’ve always wanted to try some Korean cosmetics, and that opportunity came to me when I visited Blush Cosmetics the other day with my friend and fellow blogger Kirsty (The Slee) - go check out her blog! I have Korean skin care products, but not a lot of Korean make up. One thing I love about Korean make up is their packaging, it’s always adorable! I also love the fact that you always receive samples after your purchase. Massive disclaimer though, these products are pretty pricey, so if you want to get your hands on some good Korean products, either get them from Korea or online. Anyways, here’s what I bought from Blush Cosmetics!

Skin Care Routine - Dry and sensitive skin

Hello everyone! I’m back, and here to possibly inform you on the importance of skin care! Pampering your skin might be effort to some, but it’s super important to maintain healthy skin. I thought I’d share with you guys my updated skin routine as I believe it’s working really well for my skin. For those who don’t know I have eczema, and one prominent place I have eczema is my face (specifically on my cheeks). Since it’s winter here in Australia, my cheeks had worsen because of the cold temperature and the harsh wind, which really irritated my cheeks. However I have updated my skin care regime and I can see progress! I’ve been on this routine for a few days now and my cheeks are noticeably softer, although it will take more time for the redness to go away. So lets begin!

Fashion Weekend Sydney

Hello lovelies! I'm extremely sorry for the lack of posts! but here's another one!
So 2 weeks ago, I went to Fashion Weekend Sydney - which was held at the Royal Hall of Industries. At Fashion Weekend, you basically shop (mostly) discounted designer brands, and (if you bought a ticket for it) you could also watch the catwalk!

Nail Polish Collection

If I had a hobby that revolved around collecting things, it would probably include nail polish. People who know me, know that I have a pretty extensive collection of nail polishes, so someone recommended that I make a post on it! So here's my nail polish collection and a few tips

Priceline Haul and Review

After a visit to the doctors last week, I've taken more of an interest in my skin care routine. I personally have sensitive skin (more so on my face than body), and every time the weather changes drastically (especially when transitioning between seasons) my sensitive skin becomes dry and super noticeable. So after my doctor's appointment, I was recommended a few things that could easily be picked up at any pharmacy or super market! (and I also picked up a few other goodies!)

Review: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

Hi lovlies! I'm so sorry for being MIA the past month, but I'm back! A few weeks ago I went to the Priceline 40% off ALL cosmetics sale and decided to finally purchase the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. The sale was held for 2 days, and I unfortunately could only make it on the second day - this obviously meant that quite a lot of products were sold out. Even so, I still managed to buy 3 balm stains, and 2 balm stains from the Face of Australia, to see if it's a good enough dupe for the Revlon one's - purely for pricing reasons.

OOTD: First day back at Uni

The holidays are over and uni has started up again recently, to my dismay haha. So far my experiences at uni involve early morning starts, long lectures, being sleep deprived, and so many set of stairs, hence when it comes to creating an outfit for uni, I definitely consider comfort as a major factor - since I'm at uni for the majority of my day.

I thought I'd share with you guys what I wore to my first day back at uni!

Top: Glue    |    Jeans: Just Jeans    |    Boots: Wanted Shoes    |     Cardigan: Myer    |    Bag: Strandbags

Food Adventures: Hanamaruya

Recently it was my sister's birthday, and to celebrate my parents decided to take us to a restaurant to have a family dinner. We were already in Bankstown, so we decided to try out the new Japanese restaurant there - Hanamaruya.

If you are ever around Bankstown, give this restaurant a try. They have a variety of dishes including bento boxes, sushi rolls, sashimi, and udon. My family decided to order a dish of Karaage Chicken, Chicken Nanban and two tofu dishes. These all came with salads so to accompany them we decided to order a bowl of steamed rice each - which was only $1 per bowl.

The food and the pricing were both great, so if I'm ever at Bankstown again I'm without a doubt revisiting Hanamaruya if I'm hungry. I'm not sure about their opening hours, but I know they're open for dinner.

Hoping everyone is having a great week, I'll see you guys in my next post! take care!

Food Adventures: Sweet Spot

A few days ago, before I had to return to uni, a few of my friends and I visit a charming patisserie called Sweet Spot Patisserie in Randwick. They had so many beautifully presented desserts, ranging from cake slices, ice creams, whole cakes, tarts and short breads - it was so hard for me to pick which one I wanted to try!

I ended up choosing the Choc Panna Cotta Delice, and it was great! The Panna Cotta was lovely and smooth, and the base of the cake was crunchy and crumbly which added texture to the super smooth Panna Cotta. It was garnished with a blueberry, a strawberry and a white chocolate curl - the fruits definitely helped cut through the sweetness.

My other friends decided to get the Pistachio Panna Cotta, the Red Velvet cake slice, the Japonaise, and the Caramel Mousse (last two not pictured).

(L-R) Red Velvet Cake Slice, Pistachio Panna Cotta, Choc Panna Cotta Delice

The box that my cake came in - It's so adorable!
It was great to just sit down and relax with cake and tea with a few of my friends before the stress of uni takes over my life. So if you guys are ever see a Sweet Spot Patisserie, I recommend you visit! Even if it's just to admire the gorgeous cakes hahaha.

I hope everyone is having a lovely week, I'll see you lovelies in my next post! take care!

Chocolate Cupcakes

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I usually don't celebrate Valentine's Day but this year, I decided that today would be a great day to bake some cupcakes. I love cooking in general but I really love making desserts. I mostly bake whenever I had free time or when I feel like it, but I have baked for special occasions before.

So in the spirit of Valentine's Day, I decided to bake chocolate cupcakes! The recipe I used was from a cupcake book that I have - I've never ever used this book before so I had no idea how this recipe would turn out as it was a little different to how I would usually make chocolate cupcakes. But in the end they turned out super yummy! In the book they're called "Valentine Heart Cupcakes" but essentially they're chocolate cupcakes.

Here's the recipe:

OneTeaspoon sale and Paper2 adventures

Hi everyone! I'm back! I'm so sorry I haven't been posting lately, I've been super super busy. But recently my friends and I had a day out in the city and I thought I'd share that with you!

The main reason we decided to hang out that day was because of the OneTeaspoon sale that was happening in Surry Hills. OneTeaspoon is a brand with amazing clothes (although sometimes the prices are more on the expensive side) that were having an 'End of lease sale' at their Surry Hills store on Crown street - and honestly, the sale was pretty good (up to 80% off for some things)

Nail Stamps!

Sorry for not posting recently! I went away on holidays to the Central Coast - I may/may not do a post on it, but long story short it was amazing!

On the first day, we checked into the hotel and got settled down. That was went my friends and I decided to do our nails! I'd only bought one nail polish colour as well as top and base coat, whereas my friend told me she had a surprise for me - and that was... stamps! Her cousin had bought these really cool stamps for your nails and they look awesome, so she wanted to try them on me.

So here's the tutorial and here's what you'll need:

My friend's cousin bought 4 special nail polishes and a bunch of stamps online. However we only used one stamp plate with our desired patter on it, and one special nail polish.

I used Cutex '2 in 1 Basecoat with Pro-Vitamin B5', and as a base colour I used China Glaze 'Avalanche' (Which I've previous mentioned in my Favourite nail polishes for 2013 post)

So lets begin!
